COOPERATIVE LEARNING STRATEGIES: IMPLEMENTATION CHALLENGES IN TEACHER EDUCATION

The research in cooperative learning (CL) is robust. Despite the empirical benefits of CL, its implementation faces challenges teacher education classrooms. Teacher educators resist using CL and stick to frontal teaching method. All this may be due difficulties perceived by implementing CL. researchers used a concurrent triangulation mixed method design explore among from India. administered questionnaire obtained 300 responses through survey, followed semi-structured interview eight survey participants. findings revealed that average are 63% challenges, learner curriculum syllabus, administrative challenges. Female higher than males. ANOVA results difference faced across age group. These demonstrate need for future conduct more in-depth examination with extensive samples various educational settings other world regions develop effective solutions.
